How Acupuncture Benefits Your Body

Traditionally, acupuncture was connected to things like energy points and Qi.
But today, we know that the needles used in acupuncture work by stimulating the central nervous system, causing it to release chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain.
Those chemicals are the reason why acupuncture works: once released, they engage your body’s natural healing abilities, promoting better physical and emotional well-being.

Once the needles are removed, it’s normal to experience soreness for up to 24 hours, and in rare cases there may be some bruising.
A full treatment typically takes 6-8 sessions, although that may be longer or shorter depending on the issue we’re treating.
But – since acupuncture targets the root of your discomfort – the effects of those treatments are long lasting, letting you bask in pain and stress-free comfort for months after your final treatment session.
Damage from a crash isn’t always visible. Acupuncture can support your body’s recovery and help you feel calmer in or around vehicles again.
Our registered acupuncturists have got your back. And your legs. Plus your arms too. With their help, you’ll be at the top of your game.
Daily life’s challenges can leave your mind and body feeling worn out. Acupuncture lets you manage those stresses in a natural, lasting way.
