What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management.
How does acupuncture benefit your body?
Traditionally, acupuncture was connected to things like energy points and Qi.
But today, we know that the needles used in acupuncture work by stimulating the central nervous system, causing it to release chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain.
Those chemicals are the reason why acupuncture works: once released, they engage your body’s natural healing abilities, promoting better physical and emotional well-being.
What happens in your initial acupuncture session?
- Complete health history check-up
- Full body assessment
- Gentle 30 minute treatment session
What is naturopathic medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a system that uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself. It embraces many therapies, including herbs, massage, acupuncture, exercise, and nutritional counseling.
How does Naturopathic Medicine benefits your body?
Everyone has the right to find joy- in their health, in their mind, in their life in general. People forget what it feels like to feel good. They get so complacent with having no energy, constant digestive upset and mood fluctuations, because they don’t think there’s any other option, but this isn’t the life you have to lead!
Naturopathic medicine provides the time and space to discover the root of the issue, so there can be a lasting change. Whether you come in due to lack of energy, muscle pain, or a newly diagnosed disease that you’re not sure how to manage, naturopathic medicine will provide you with the tools, and the knowledge to not only feel better overall, but also feel empowered and capable of controlling your own health.
Education is powerful, and the more empowered people feel the more likely they are to make a change, impacting not only their own lives, but the lives of those around them. This snowball effect is one of the best ways to affect change!
