Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and skilled Clinical Counsellor to join our collaborative healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health counselling and therapeutic interventions to help individuals manage emotional distress, navigate life transitions, overcome personal challenges, and improve overall mental and emotional well-being. You will work within a holistic, multi-disciplinary environment, maintaining professional clinical documentation and building safe, trusting therapeutic relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough initial intakes and clinical assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health needs, psychological histories, and therapeutic goals.

Design and implement customized, safe, and evidence-based therapeutic treatment plans utilizing recognized modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EFT, mindfulness, or trauma-informed therapy).

Provide short-term and long-term individual psychological counselling to support patients through stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and lifestyle changes.

Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential electronic medical records (clinical charting) in strict compliance with privacy laws and regulatory body guidelines.

Collaborate effectively with other healthcare practitioners within the clinic to optimize patient care and support holistic, integrated outcomes.

Maintain a secure, welcoming, and strictly confidential therapeutic environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related mental health field from an accredited institution.

Active registration and in good standing with the provincial regulatory body or professional association (e.g., BCACC, CCPA, or ACSW).

Strong clinical skills with a solid foundation in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Excellent interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills to build trust, connection, and rapport with patients.

Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of an integrated health team.
