Dr McGuire grew up on a farm in rural Ontario, which fostered a love for nature and biology. This led her to study conservation biology at the University of Guelph in Ontario. After graduation she was drawn to natural health, and took a job working for her local health food store where she learned about naturopathic medicine, supplements, and herbal treatments. Although she was helping people improve their health in a small way, she wanted to learn more to help more. She moved to BC to attend the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, where she discovered her love for hands-on physical treatments, acupuncture, and botanical medicine.
Dr McGuire tackles health concerns using a whole-body approach. This involves asking you numerous questions about your current and past health history, in order to discover the root cause of your concern. She is deeply passionate about educating and empowering her patients so that they feel confident following their individualized treatment plan. It is Dr. McGuire’s goal that all patients are comfortable enough to ask their questions and fully trust that she has their best interest at heart.
Everyone has the right to find joy- in their health, in their mind, in their life in general. People forget what it feels like to feel good. They get so complacent with having no energy, constant digestive upset and mood fluctuations, because they don’t think there’s any other option, but this isn’t the life you have to lead!
Our 5-star rated Langley Naturopathic Doctor provides the time and space to discover the root of the issue, so there can be a lasting change. Whether you come in due to lack of energy, muscle pain, or a newly diagnosed disease that you’re not sure how to manage, naturopathic medicine will provide you with the tools, and the knowledge to not only feel better overall, but also feel empowered and capable of controlling your own health.
Education is powerful, and the more empowered people feel the more likely they are to make a change, impacting not only their own lives, but the lives of those around them. This snowball effect is one of the best ways to affect change!
Our Naturopaths will provide a thorough consult and assessment to get to the root of your concerns. Your treatment plan may include one or more of the following modalities:
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses your own blood to accelerate healing. Here’s how it works: a small amount of blood is drawn, then placed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets — the cells naturally responsible for healing and tissue repair. This concentrated plasma is then injected into the treatment area.
PRP is used for:
Because PRP uses your own biology, it is a natural, low-risk option with minimal downtime. Results develop gradually over weeks as your body heals itself.
Cosmetic injectables are non-surgical treatments used to refresh and rejuvenate your appearance with minimal downtime. Dr. Payman offers two main types:
Botox (Neuromodulators)
Botox is a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles — lines caused by repeated facial expressions like squinting, frowning, or smiling. Common treatment areas include forehead lines, crow’s feet, and frown lines between the brows. Results typically last 3–4 months.
Dermal Fillers
Fillers are gel-like substances (most commonly hyaluronic acid) injected beneath the skin to restore volume, smooth deep lines, and enhance facial contours. They are commonly used for lip augmentation, cheek enhancement, nasolabial folds, and under-eye hollows. Results can last anywhere from 6 months to over a year depending on the product used.
Dr. Payman’s approach emphasizes natural, balanced results — enhancing your features rather than changing them. A thorough consultation is always conducted before any treatment.
Prolotherapy (short for proliferative therapy) is a regenerative injection technique used to treat chronic pain caused by weakened or damaged ligaments, tendons, and joints.
During the procedure, a solution — typically containing dextrose (a natural sugar) — is injected into the affected area. This causes a mild, controlled inflammatory response that triggers your body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, stronger connective tissue.
Prolotherapy is commonly used for:
Unlike cortisone injections, which can weaken tissue over time, prolotherapy works with your body to build lasting strength and stability. Most patients require a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart for optimal results.
Your initial 60-minute session will include:
Your follow-up appointment will be booked on the day of your first visit to track progress and make any necessary adjustments. These visits can be in-person or virtual.
Most healthy adults experiencing chronic pain, joint instability, or soft tissue injuries are good candidates for regenerative therapies. These treatments are especially well-suited for patients who:
The best way to determine if you are a candidate is through a consultation with Dr. Payman, who will review your health history and goals to recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
The number of sessions varies depending on the treatment and the individual. General guidelines are:
